Win a Fluther T-Shirt!

Posted July 23rd, 2007 by ben

—–UPDATE—–

Thanks everyone for submitting to the T-Shirt contest. Due to design constraints, we were unable to use any of your awesome submissions. Don’t worry, you can still buy a Fluther Tee from our new Fluther Store. More importantly, we’re thinking of lots of new ways to give away Fluther Tees.

Thanks again to all those who submitted.

———————-

If you’re reading this barechested–and I suspect you are–you’re probably thinking, “why aren’t I wearing a Fluther t-shirt?”

Good question. It seems that while Andrew and I were frantically building the site we forgot our original vision: jellyfish tees for the masses. But before we finish you have to do one thing… nominate the all-time best Fluther question.

And, to make it interesting, whoever picks out the winning question will be awarded a brand-new, first-edition Fluther T-Shirt! The tees will all be excellent quality, printed on American Apparel.

To enter, just comment on this post with a link to the question.

A few suggestions:

  • The winning question will embody what Fluther is and why it’s useful. We’re looking for the perfect Fluther question.
  • Don’t pick a question that’s too long - these have to fit on a t-shirt.
  • Broad appeal is necessary.

Eight entries accepted per person.

Of course, if you don’t win, you’ll still be able to buy a t-shirt on the site. We’re confident that within minutes of wearing it, it will become your premiere t-shirt. Good luck!

    Wow. I’m actually bare-chested right now (post-shower). That’s a little creepy…

Try #1: What is “next” Monday?

  2. Heather R. Says:

Crap. That was supposed to say “When is ‘next’ Monday?” Darn you, lack of edit buttons!

OK, try #2: What’s So Special About Salt and Pepper?

  3. Heather R. Says:

Try #3: What Makes You Happy?

Best part of this one is the subhead: just want to know

  4. Perchyk Says:

Hmm I was going to go with the cake question. But that’s too long for a shirt :D
    I like the Crayon Car

can we have a short-enough version of the cake question? or just print all or part of it really small which might make it even funnier?

I’m too new to Fluther to be able to nominate a question (although the cake question is the best one suggested thus far). I just wanted to say the not only should “whoever picks out the winning question” should get a T-Shirt, but I think that the original poster of the question should get a T-Shirt as well.

  10. Gail Calder Says:

Cake gets my vote. The question can be edited down and still be coherent and funny. Maybe have three, like you do on “What is Fluther.” God’s feet is also good and not something you’d see elsewhere. And the Invasion of the fleas.

  11. Mirza Says:

Whatever question wins, please do not make the t-shirts in black only - i already have over 15 website t-shirts in black

  12. mdy Says:

I’ve posted my 8 picks at What is Your Favorite Fluther Question?

Also, re: the shirt — can there be different styles for men and women? (See example from Kathy Sierra’s Creating Passionate Users). Just a suggestion. 8-)

  13. THiC Says:

Well if the question is going to be on the T-shirt I’m voting on ‘Why do nipples get hard when you’re cold?‘ =]

  14. Gail Calder Says:

http://www.fluther.com/disc/672/any-good-investing-tips-for-poor-people/ from sarahsugs, got 33 answers (not all of them from me, I might add). I got some good ideas.

I would veto nipples, vagueness, fuhrer, programming languages. You want originality, wit, brevity, and nobility.

    How? Why? What!! = Fluther.com

    Why is Fluther so addicting?

I tried. I think it is too late also.
