Stemming the tide…
Posted March 1st, 2008 by andrewAs you can see, we’ve quintupled our activity in the span of a few days. As I’ve blogged about before, our signal-to-noise ratio has gone down a bit.
We’ve been removing the most inane and childish questions, but many of the “low quality” questions are simply new users who are just trying out the site with the first thing that pops into their mind.
So, with that in mind, we’ve added this:

As always, we’re trying to look after our existing users while welcoming in the newbies.

it would be if, without cluttering the very clean interface, the flagging ability were added to the iPhone version of fluther. One of my biggest problems with the iPhone version of Digg is the inability to bury stuff I don’t care about. I can digg all day long, but no bury.
By the way, I love fluther!! Good job guys.

We haven’t actually transitioned yet, but with the optimizations that have been put in place, we’ve only seen maybe 20-30 minutes of slow response.
One month ago the traffic would have killed us.

Andrew I think what you guys are doing is adequate. Add the flag, to the I-phone maybe. And some may be offended by an offensive user name. Busterhymen
