@augustlan: The really good designers shy away from those. They’re busy doing work that’s paid, instead of work that *might* get them some sort payment. I urge everyone to find a good user interface and graphic designer and partner up with them; not get involved in ’skinning contests’.
Oh, and good luck team Fluther, and congratulations to whomever you end up hiring!

I gotta say that if I wasn’t going back to school I’d be all over this. And as Richard Henry pointed out, most good designers won’t do free work. No-Spec! is dedicated to that whole theory http://www.no-spec.com/ . If you guys are still looking for someone when I’m done maybe I’ll throw my hat in the ring (which I doubt). (Oh and don’t use my tumblr account as an example of my design. I just never bothered to change it since I haven’t used it as much as I thought I would originally.)

I don’t need a job really, but I’d be glad to help in some way if I can. I’m more of a project manager than a designer, but you saw the one site I did already, i think.

Fellas, I’m not looking for a job, but I’d love to help out as well. Just wondering, why the necessity for redesign? Except for the search function, as Gail pointed out, things seem to be operating fluidly (which is good for jellies).

I think the site looks great as it is right now… although i would probably remove the pattern at the top.
But love the color combination overall…

Hi all,
Just to be clear. We’re not planning on redesigning Fluther. Instead we’d like our designer to help us build new Fluther products. For example, a Fluther blog integration widget. Or a profile building tool. We’ve got tons of ideas. And they all need to be designed.
We love the visual look of the site currently, but there’s lots of room to grow and refine the site into new places.
@HearKat: For now, we’re looking just for people in the Bay Area, or in LA.

I am new at Fluther, but this is the only social website I have ever used more than one time. and is one of the best designed websites I have ever seen!
