Voilà Paris
Posted June 30th, 2009 by andrewIf you hadn’t pieced together from all my questions about Paris and electricity and cell phones and whatnot, Ben and I are doing a work sprint from Paris this month (Ben will be arriving tomorrow, so expect updates from him as well).
We look forward to pushing a bunch of the new features we’ve been working and planning during the next few weeks. And of course, suggestions for things to do in Paris are great as well.
A few photos from my brick of an iPhone today:

if you see what appears to be a lady skunk, it’s not. it’s a black lady cat with a strip of white paint!
“ahh, chere, let me take you from here!”
also, i recommend you simulate the opening sequence from “Team America:World Police” around the Eiffel Tower.

Are all the walkways really paved with croissants like in Team America?
Also, how do you justify a “work sprint” to Paris? I need to know which form to fill out for my taxes.

Aimez bien, mangez trop, travaillez un peu, bouvez beaucoup, ne dormez jamais.

Things to do:
1. Watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour at night from Trocadéro
2. Visit the Père Lachaise graveyard (The world’s most visited graveyard; Home to Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Chopin, Delacroix, David, and many more)
3. Climb the steps to the Sacre Coeur basilica
…as well as visiting all of the well-known sites, such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Saint-Chapelle, etc.

Nice pictures. Are these chairs kind of like a traveling gnome? Will they be in all your pictures?

Paris is lovely, if you have a chance to visit Avignon while you’re over there - do it. It’s charming in every way.

Don’t make the deadly mistake of mispronouncing “vanilla” to an Armenian ice cream vendor like I did. O, the scolding!
