IE8 Fixes and other bugfixes
Posted July 8th, 2009 by andrewWe’ve updated YUI, so IE8 should work now without having to switch into compatibility mode.
We’ve also fixed a long nagging bug where the @link dropdown menu wouldn’t work at the start of your second paragraph.
Bigger features should be dropping later this week.

i’m having trouble tonight with the italics tag. it’s not working on multi-word phrases, just single words. is this happening to anyone else?

None of those little formatting codes are working for me. I can’t *strong*, or –whisper– or anthing.

Yello there. There seems to be a problem with urls which contain brackets. I’ve tried to link to wikipedia pages before such as Prince (Musician) but then it always comes out looking like this
http://www.fluther.com/disc/49674/so-absolutely-no-idea-how-to-turn-links-into-phrases-and/#quip685520
Then eponymoushipster told me about this technique here: http://www.fluther.com/disc/49440/the-king-is-dead-long-live-who/#quip680553 where you’re apparently supposed to add square brackets to the end of the url but as you can see in the first link that didn’t work out either.
Is this a temporary bug?

(Maybe I should use my real email address..)

The brackets haven’t been added yet either, though they still should work the same in the posts as they did before.
