Today’s interview is with an up-and-coming Fluther member, Allie. In less than two months, she has answered over 400 questions, asked 20, and received lots of lurve from the community. We’re really happy to have her as a member of the collective and thought you might want to learn a little more about her.

How did you discover Fluther?

I was introduced to Fluther on New Year’s Eve while I was visiting my friend who attends UCSC. I forgot about it within two days but Fluther found me again when I was using StumbleUpon.

Where do you use Fluther?

I use Fluther at home mostly. Sometimes I’m at a friends house and I have to take a quick peek.

How much time do you spend on Fluther each week?

Haha, too much. I have to limit myself otherwise I won’t get anything else done.

Tell us about your first question…

I asked if there are really tarantulas on Mt. Diablo. My geology class took a hiking trip up there and I was freaked out about running into one. Thanks to needleinthehay, delirium, syz, and skeh0138 for easing my fears. In case you were wondering, I didn’t see one tarantula.

What was your proudest moment on Fluther?

When Erik asked if I would like to be interviewed [editor: *blushes*] and also when the Fluther story was published because I helped write part of it.

Which Fluther user do you most look up to?

Peedub makes me laugh constantly, gailcalled is very intelligent and always has good input (even if sometimes I disagree), iwamoto could probably solve any Mac problem and I think that is pretty amazing, and johnpowell because I always find myself giving him Great Answers so that must mean something.

What other websites do you regularly visit?

I’m addicted to Facebook and I Stumble quite often. Fluther and Facebook even have their own bookmark toolbar buttons on Firefox. I also like Lifelounge and Popurls.

If you were a jellyfish, what color jellyfish would you be, and why?

I’d want to be an orange-pink color during the day and glow-in-the-dark orange-pink at night. Although the sea might not be such a safe place for a glow-in-the-dark jelly, but I still think it would be pretty cool.
