I got the idea from johnpowell’s Greasemonkey script. I think it turned out well, since it still uses the default background and doesn’t clash with the overall style 🙂

But I do agree with Jeruba as well, I love the classic background, an occasional change is alright, but no swimming pools and frizzers for summer, you know? 😉

I can’t seem to get it… do I have to drop cache or something… or maybe switch to Firefox instead of Google Chrome… hmm…. I want this sooo bad!!

@lunnyblundell Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5). If that doesn’t work, try clearing the cache. It’s just a change of background, it shouldn’t warrant a browser change 🙂

How come I don’t get any snow? My screen is exactly the same color it always was, and the picture at the top is the same, in fact, nothing has changed.

P.S. Another site I am on said they were giving us snow, and sure enough my screen erupted in little white flakes all over the top of the screen, where their logo banner is.

@Yarnlady: Try pressing Ctrl+F5 while on the site, and if that doesn’t work, clearing the cache should do the trick.

OK, I see a little partial snowflake on each side of the screen, on the narrow black ribbon down both sides. I think it’s because I have my entire screen filled with the actual question list so I can see the words.

I noticed it right away, and I like it! It’s lovely.
But I also love our very classy regular wallpaper. I wouldn’t want to see us get all Googly-cute with changes for every season and occasion. A dash of spice is nice as long as it’s a dash.
